We are building a world-class product that pushes the boundaries of how people protect and monitor their homes.

Three years ago, it was just the 4 founders - and we’re now a team of 25 across 3 offices with hugely ambitious plans. As a consequence, every single member of the team works on high impact and groundbreaking challenges.

We’re looking for a Front End Developer to join our growing team in London and to help us drive exciting new projects that rely on you creating incredible websites that leave our customers informed, happy, and either seamlessly making a purchase or servicing their existing account. You’ll work closely with our marketing, sales & business development teams and partner with our graphic designer to get the job done.

Broadly, we expect you to take responsibility for the following areas when working with front end development:

  • Accessibility & UX: our product is used by thousands of people around the world with varying backgrounds and technical understanding. It’s important for us that anyone can easily understand, purchase and use our products. Attention to the smallest details is critical.
  • Aesthetics: together with Minut’s graphic designer and marketing team your work will be to collaborate on and execute within a design system that can be used across our website and dashboard tools.
  • Performance: in a world where no one wants to wait, page speed is important. A majority of our website visitors use a mobile device to navigate the site.
  • Security: we take security (and privacy) seriously and expect you to do as well. We’re building home security after all.
  • Testing and Analytics: we strive to constantly improve our products and services. You will work with the marketing team to constantly create, run and evaluate A/B tests across the sites to improve performance and conversion metrics.
  • Quality of code: in time, you won’t be the only full-time frontend developer and, from time to time, other developers will work with you on projects. For your own, and everyone else’s sake, it’s important that the code is clean, easy to understand, and maintainable over time. Nothing at Minut gets deployed to production without approved code reviews. We’ll also be focusing on our SEO so you’ll need to be familiar with best practices.
  • Communication: While Minut is a tech company, we aren’t all fully versed in development. You will have heavy interaction with the marketing, sales and business development teams (and potentially clients) and it’s vital that you are able to explain technical concepts and translate jargon so it’s simple to understand for non-technical people.

We’d like you to have the following:

  • At least 3 years of experience in front end development
  • A desire to join a small team with the flexibility to adjust as we grow
  • Comfortable working with remote colleagues
  • Ability to travel to Malmo, Sweden from time to time
  • Fluent in English

Perks and Benefits

  • Ability to influence everything

Minut’s organisation is flat and transparent. Executive team meetings are open for all to join. Results of board meetings are presented at all-hands meetings. Once inside, you’ll have access to all data to be able to participate in the decision-making.

  • Responsibilities beyond the normal

The room to grow as an individual at Minut is immense. As a small team breaking new ground, you’ll get to take on tasks and responsibilities that you likely wouldn’t be able to do elsewhere and we’ll help you get there.

  • Ownership

Comes through responsibility, but at Minut we also translate that into financial ownership. All full-time employees are offered a generous stock options package. If we do well together, everyone benefits.

  • Incredible flexibility and travel

Whether you’re a parent or need some extra time to focus, you’re always welcome to work from home from time to time. We only ask that you communicate in advance and let your colleagues know. If you’re travelling, take the opportunity to work from any of our offices in Malmö, London or Stockholm.

  • Stellar colleagues

Work with some of the best people in the industry who recently worked at companies such as Apple, Google and S’well. Or why not challenge Fredrik on how to reverse engineer a 4G base station?

Workplace and Culture

Joy, experimentation and curiosity may not lead us on the straightest path but it will take us the furthest. We work hard to help and challenge each other to break new ground.

We believe in opportunities to share, socialise and relax with colleagues. "Fika" is a lot more than a simple coffee break. Sometimes these moments lead to the best ideas.

Whether you need to pick up the kids or simply take care of that in-home delivery, the hours and location where you work can be flexible from time to time. It's a marathon, not a sprint.
